Character Design

Character Background
Protagonist: simple young girl. Harmless in every shape and form. However she was chosen by spirits of an ancient race that once existed on earth to protect it from an upcoming evil. The young girl is clueless of the destiny that has been bestowed upon her. Everyday she lives a normal life, however when she sleeps the spirit/ power contained inside her body awakens. An angel glowing like creature that ventures the city defeating the evil creatures that want to consume the world. The protagonist is always tired and bit disheveled and thinks she just has a bad case of sleep walking.

Antagonist: A creature enveloped by hatred for the human race and the earth in general. She comes across dangerous and cold. However she is completely stumped how this harmless girl could be her greatest foe and she is almost disappointed because of the lack of challenge. She is a proud creature. She has demon like features. Black/ Grey skin. Luminous orange sinister eyes. Mage/ magic abilities. She was once a human girl like the protagonist... however she was consumed by the spirit inside her.

My first time using Illustrator properly and I somehow made Calcifer from the movie Howl's Moving Castle and ...weird eye ball bread? I think I'm getting the hang of the very basics anyway.

Character Design Idea 1
I drew this little guy over summer. I hope to achieve a similar style

I was practising using Illustrator. Still finding it tricky and the results weren't wonderful but not bad for a beginner.

Workshop with Matthew Griffin on Photoshop. Focus on lighting and blending.
Working on colour palette etc

Antagonist Vector
For some reason I can't log into my Behance page, something about Network Maintenance!... very annoying.

This is my antagonist vector piece. I didn't get around to giving her all her cool war paint/ tattoos. I'll get back to that!

My protagonist vector piece.
